After completing formal qualifications in Commercial Art, Cheryl started her own business, Zacks in 1991. In the early years the focus of the business was directly connected with Cheryl's love of painting, illustration and photography. While the demand for Cheryl's art remained high Cheryl was keen to advance her knowledge and experience of the graphics industry by freelancing to some of Western Australia's leading studios.

In time, with the increasing need for high quality graphic design Zacks grew to include Cheryl's long time partner Scott Smith. In recent times the business has had the fortune to secure contracts with well known corporate and government organizations however Cheryl and Scott still receive much satisfaction creating something special for a diverse range of clients, large or small.
